OBS MCP Pro is an MCP server with 58 tools that connects Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor — any MCP client — to OBS Studio over the official obs-websocket v5 protocol. Nothing to install inside OBS.

🎬 Generate a complete stream setup from one prompt

Say "game streaming setup, purple theme" and get:

• Full scene collection — Starting Soon / Live / BRB / Ending
• 10 bundled HTML overlays (countdown, game frame + LIVE bar, SNS ticker, lower third, clock…) served locally, themed to your colors and socials. No SaaS, no subscription

A snapshot is taken automatically before anything changes. One command (setup_restore) rolls everything back.

🩺 Diagnose dropped frames like a pro

diagnose_stream samples your stats and tells you why your stream stutters — network congestion, encoder overload, GPU render lag, or plain misconfiguration — with concrete recommendations. tune_apply applies platform profiles (dry-run by default). bench_encoder compares x264 / NVENC / AV1 load on your actual machine.

⚡ Event-driven automation

Natural language → rules. "When my mic is silent for 30 seconds, switch to BRB — switch back when I return." 6 triggers (scene change, stream/record state, mute, silence, time) × 8 actions (switch scene, record, save replay, mute, filters, play media, webhook). Runs standalone with --daemon even after you close your AI client. Fail-safe: if OBS disconnects, rules do nothing.

🎞 Bonus: chapter-tagged recording

record_with_chapters turns scene switches into timestamped chapters (.abyo-chapters.json) — ready for editing workflows, including the upcoming DaVinci Resolve MCP Pro integration.
